How you can help the Detroit Urban Craft Fair
I’ve been getting a few requests about how people can help DUCF. We absolutely need volunteers during this crunch time. Here are some ways you can help:
1. Attend the volunteer meeting at 2 p.m. on July 29th in the Magic Stick. We’ll be assembling swag bags and signing volunteers up for DUCF-day volunteer tasks. There will also be pizza!
2. If you can’t attend the meeting, but still want to help on DUCF day, get in touch: handmadedetroit {AT!} yahoo {DOT!} com.
3. You can steal this image, for your blog, MySpace or other online fun:
4. You can link to this post.
5. You can hang posters/distribute flyers in your neighborhood. Posters can be picked up during the day, Mon-Wed or Friday from Carey @ the Garden Bowl, 4120 Woodward Heights in Detroit.
6. You can still submit swag and raffle donations until FRIDAY, JULY 27. This is our in hands date. E-mail for more info.
7. You can post this short message on any forums you frequent:
“Handmade Detroit presents the second Detroit Urban Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 4 at the Majestic Theater. This year’s fair features 61 vendors, a make and take area, a “real” art show in the Cafe, raffles and an after party. Free to enter. All ages. More details at www.detroiturbancraftfair.com”
8. You can grab a banner or print up some flyers from the DUCF promo page.
Or post a link to the DUCF site: www.detroiturbancraftfair.com
9. You can simply tell your friends. Friends + DUCF= fun.
Thanks so much!
The tired, but very, very excited DUCF crew
