LoadingDIY graphic designer Ellen Lupton at MOCAD
I absolutely adore graphic designer Ellen Lupton. In my list designers who influence me greatly, she’s up way there with Allen Fletcher and Saul Bass. So I’m pretty sure I’m going to need to steal someone’s kids to attend her Family Day Workshop: “Make Your Own Word Art” this Saturday at the MOCAD in Detroit.
A huge champion of DIY design, Lupton will be presenting projects from her book DIY Kids. Check out the MOCAD site for info on the event.

I am sure you can show up without kids … Most of the projects are as fun for grown-ups as for children.
